Invisible Mama

💚 Invisible Mama 💚

Can you feel my hunger?

I lost it along the way,

Through the darkest tunnel,

That we know so well as loneliness.

Can you feel my heaviness?

I’m unsure how to lift it;

It really hurts my back,

And sticks to me like hot-tar.

Can you see my emptiness?

I don’t know if it’s obvious,

I’m so used to its reflection,

But it’s not supposed to knot and entwine me.

Can you truly see me?

I’m not sure that you can,

Yet all I see is you,

And all I’ve lost, is me.

Can you see my broken-shards?

A mosaic of tiny-pieces,

Fragmented and discarded,

Yearning to gleam again.

Can you hear me, clearly?

I’ve been standing here for ages.

I almost sank, at points,

Through the smallest-print and darkest pages.

Can you see behind my eyes?

Because I am so lonely.

Please call me by my name...

For I am more than the Invisible Mama.
