REST

REST

After four days in the glorious Cotswolds, I'm not sure what day or time it is I have loved being outside for most of this time, and planting my feet where they needed to be.

We aren't robotic, and sometimes life feels this way again. During Covid, all the small wonders popped up along with hurdle after hurdle; yet now it can be hard to claw the wondrous moments back.

Ice-creams and stone walls, eating when we want to and not because it's lunch time, laying watching films with leftover Easter chocolate (I was a fantastic hoover for any surplus), playing catch, cards, catch again, cards again, generally going back to basics.

Tea from a teacup, and literally taking time to smell the coffee. The raw joy of singing in the kitchen whilst cooking, is something I'd almost forgotten about during this last few months. It came floating right back, across the pans of spag bol

I hope you're having a lovely last few days of the Easter break I really hope you find time to rest a little, too.

We aren't just here to grind. We're here for the wondrous, too.

Love and chunks of chocolate straight-from-the-fridge
